Welcome to the GBT website. We are an Independent Fundamental Bible-Believing Church by direction of The Holy Spirit that is called to proclaim Acts 20:27 …to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
Our mission is to emulate the New Testament Church and preserve the rich church history of baptized believers’ faith through-out the ages by preaching & teaching God’s Word which is still relevant today in this contemporary society and promoting sound Biblical Christian education. 1Timothy 3:15….which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. We are soul-winning and uphold the Great Commission by sending out and supporting missionaries.

"The Heartbeat of Our Pastor"
Grace Baptist Tabernacle is an Independent Baptist Church, founded on the WORD of God and Prayer should be forever thankful. During the period of transition the message for God was never hindered.
As I look back over my life, I realize now that it was all in a miraculous work of the Lord. I do not want to appear super spiritual but looking here is a a synopsis of my journey:
Like Abram (Gen. 12:1) I left my (single parent) mother's house in Montgomery, Alabama and went to the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Like Isaac (Gen. 24:67) Got married to my wonderful wife Mildred Geeter
Like Zelophehad (Gen. 26:33) I had no sons but daughters (Nieika {husband Tony and son Tony II} and Jonika)
Like Saul (Acts 9:1-6) God saved me. ~ Keep His promise
Like the Philippians' jailer (Acts16:31) My whole house was saved.
Like Timothy (Acts 16:1) I became a disciple of Dr. Marshall Robinson and also his son in the ministry (I Tim. 1:2)
Like Elder Paul, Pastor Emeritus Robinson recommended me as a candidate for the Senior Pastor upon his retirement, similar to Joshua succeeding Moses.
All this was confirmed and substantiated by the spiritual leading of the Holy Spirit when my job of thirty (30) years as an Electrical Engineer with TVA was terminated in October 2006.
Now my burden and heart's desire1 is to study and show myself approved unto God2... a man after God's own heart3...love my immediate and church family4, follow Christ so that I can be the very best pastor and teacher5. I would also like to be an effective and compassionate leader that fights the good fight to finish my course with joy.
